More Love in the Air!

Did you get a chance to hop with the Sparkle N Sprinkle team for some Divas & Love inspiration last week?  I hope so!  If you didn't, don't forget SNS has another hop with lots more great new ideas (and more prizes!) coming your way real soon.  The Spring Fling Hop is in just two weeks - don't miss it!

In the meantime, I've got a little more love to share with you! With Valentine's Day sneaking up on us so quickly, I thought I'd share another Valentine idea with you while we're still "feeling the love"!  This is another design I did for Sparkle N Sprinkle before I had a blog.  I keep trying to add in some of those "pre-blog" designs as time permits so I can share them with those of you that haven't had a chance to see them.  Plus, it's always fun to revisit things you made earlier!

This sparkly kids Valentine was designed around the fun saying. The saying was embossed with extra sparkly Halo Embossing Powder to match the magical sentiment.  I "glittered up" the stars on the adorable Star Bunny stamps to match the magical feel.  (This card was also part of an "inchie" challenge, so I only used their cute little faces & the magical stars.)  For a little extra sparkle, I added a stripe of Celestial glitter (very appropriate choice for the magical/star theme - lol - wouldn't you say?)  The stripe was added above the panel with oh so useful Tearific Tape.  If you don't already have some of this stuff; you really need to get some - it is so versatile and handy!

Does the picture seem just a bit blurry?  I thought it did.  But unfortunately that can be one of the challenges of photographing something really sparkly.  Light bouncing off all that beautiful glitter seems to reflect off the camera lens & distort the image just a little.  But I loved how much sparkle showed up in that first shot - particularly on the saying! (Click on an image to see the sparkles even better.)  Of course, photographing during the gray winter months is never fun either - colors, glitter, it's all hard to capture well when the days are gray.  It can be a real challenge capturing a shot the way it looks in real life sometimes!  Ok, I really didn't intend this post to be about the photography though - lol!  So anyway, here's another shot at a slightly different angle.

Back to the card though....It doesn't show real well, but the saying was placed behind a window & the inchies were popped up to create a few different levels to the card.  The colors I choose were pinks, red, black, and gold for Valentine's Day.  But change up the colors and you'd have a great Birthday card too!  Hope you enjoy this fun & sparkly card for kids!  I'd love it if you left a little comment before you hopped on by!  And thanks so much for stopping by today!
Until next time,
***Julie***

Love all the sparkle Julie, and the bunnies look so cute, just their faces peeking out! Need to remember to use the tape and glitter together, it is such a great look!
